    Hiya Guys,

I have found somebody I think you should really work with helping make an application or import Amiga Demos into Friendup. I have tired to import demos but had no success.

http://codef.santo.fr/ CODEF aka Canvas Oldshool Demo Effect Framework, is a an open source framework that makes it easy to build demos-like animations that run in a web browser (Google Chrome is prefered).

    Sounds ideal for your platform!

Check out their collection of remade pure Javascript demos http://wab.com/ its fantastic and they already have a lot of stuff.

I remember this one from a while back. Haven’t tried it in Friend. We’re working hard on the open source release, but let’s see if we can solve whatever problems encountered when importing these. What does your Chrome debugger say?

Ahhh worked it out. It was all locally linking so tired adding remote links outside of friendup. Think FriendUp might be blocking the remote linking to http://www.wab.com but will copy the files and host them within friend. Will keep all authors credit and stuff 🙂

Yes sandboxes has this “cross site scripting” limitation in the browsers. It’s to prevent hidden iframes from key logging and exploits like that. If you need to access remote content, you can use the module proxy call that’s in the developer documentation 🙂
