    Hello 🙂

Stumbled across this project and I haven’t been this excited since I got my first computer – a Sinclair ZX81 – and started to hack together games.

I want to explore developing games (and maybe more general applications) on this platform. I’m confused by the following:

    From page 81

The demo game seems to use the Tree Engine. Correct?

    Prerequisites for using the Tree Engine are;

      Friend Core installed and running.
      A web browser.
      JavaScript programming skills.

Question: How do I install Friend Core on a Windows 10 and Linux Pop_OS machine?

Question: Friend Create looks interesting. Do I have to use it to develop games and applications?

Finally, I am intending to write up my experiences as I learn how to develop games on Friendup. I am hoping this will inspire others and leave a useful getting started guide for others to follow. Where would be a good palce to publish this guide within the forum?

    Thanks 🙂

Hello! Sorry for the long delay. Been really busy times. 🙂

    Anyway! Thanks for your interest!!!!

How to install Friend Core on Windows 10 etc:

Windows users are usually installing Friend through VirtualBox – download VirtualBox and install Ubuntu on it. Then install Friend in this Ubuntu environment. There’s a guide on how to install Friend here:

    Question: Friend Create

You can use Friend Create to develop full applications. Magic Image (WIP), is being built as a full Friend application using only Friend Create. It can also be used to build a Friend Package, which can be installed on – distributed in our marketplace.

    About writing about your experiences.

We *very much* welcome this!!! Let’s talk further no Discord, where our developers and most active users hang out every day.
